CityServe Summer Program 2010
When: - 8:30AM-4:00PM
Where: St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Paterson
Summary: The service-learning program that helps northern NJ young people find the "fun in service."

CityServe is a program that provides safe space for young people (13-15 years of age), encouraging them toward a positive lifestyle where they believe in their own potential.

CityServe began in 1995 when a partnership of churches, community organizations and individuals, came together to create a new summer of service program based loosely on City Year, Boston. Over its 14-year history, the program has grown to include community service, academic enrichment, and leadership development. The program is guided by a quote by the cultural anthropologist Margaret Mead, "never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
